Spice Up Your Bread

Far be it for me to poo poo (ew) Pumpkin Spice. It’s freaking delicious. A warm and inviting array of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and cardamom. Why yes, that’s the recipe to make your own. Add a teaspoon of the mixture to your french toast batter and voila, yummier french toast.

French Toast

3 eggs
1/3 cup whole milk (any kind of dairy is fine really)
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp pumpkin spice
Dash vanilla extract
Pinch of salt

Mix it all together in a shallow bowl
Dip your 1/2” slices of bread in to saturate (5-10 seconds each side)
Place in a buttered frying pan for 2-3 minutes per side over a medium flame - you’ll have to adjust the heat down as the pan heats up.
Plater up and cover loosely with a kitchen towel to keep them warm and… toasty

Serve with fresh berries, maple syrup or powdered sugar.
